From May 12th, 2003 until I turned 10 weeks old, I
lived at a place in Australia called 'Rutland Manor'. Here they fed me,
cleaned up after me, and most important of all, my mommy was there to raise me.
I got to run in big open areas on lots of grass and roll around with my 5 other
brothers and sisters. In my litter there are 4 boys and 2 girls.
Their names are Simon, Snickers, Bliss, and then me, Mel. The other two
live in Las Vegas and in Australia.

I had lots of fun here. They took me to the
vet, and once they left me there and I had an operation. I came home and
got a cuddle and it all was good. I loved my life there so much! My
mum and dad are still breeding there, you can see them on the
Rutland Manor Website.

On July 24, 2003 I landed in Newark New Jersey at
the airport. I was hopping all over and then these 6 strange people came
up to my crate. They took me out and gave me a hug. I realized that
this was the new family that I had been promised just the other day when I was
in Australia. I really started to like my new home, it was fun. I
got LOTS of new toys when I finally got back to my new house. And the best
part of all-- I didn't have to share them with anyone!

And then my life began as one of the luckiest
doodles alive!
